Allo Salt

Allo Salt is Allo's bottled line: 30 mL bottles of fruit-flavoured nicotine salt e-liquid that you use in your own refillable device. The only strength we list is 20 mg/mL salt nicotine, and the line is listed at $24.99, so your main choice is flavour. The line has a few fruit flavours, and most of them have an ice finish.

We also carry other Allo lines, including the Allo Ultra 10K Hybrid Disposable, the Allo Ultra 10K Pod, the Allo Intense Nuud 50K and the Allo Sync Pods. Allo Salt is different because it is only the liquid, in a 30 mL bottle, and you supply the device. If you want Allo in a format other than a bottle, start with those pages.

To use Allo Salt, you need a refillable pod device or an open-system device (one with a pod or tank you fill yourself). A disposable isn't designed to be refilled, so it can't take bottled liquid. Before you fill, check your device maker's guidance on salt nicotine and on 20 mg/mL liquid.

Reading 20 mg/mL salt nicotine on the label

The unit mg/mL means milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. It measures concentration, not the total amount of nicotine in the bottle. The federal regulatory text published with the Nicotine Concentration in Vaping Products Regulations uses 20 mg/mL and 2% for the same concentration, so a label may show either figure.

Those regulations set 20 mg/mL as the maximum nicotine concentration for vaping products sold in Canada. The limit applies whether the nicotine is in salt or non-salt form, so salt nic labels and non-salt labels have the same ceiling.

Health Canada's guidance on nicotine concentration encourages manufacturers to make their solutions slightly below 20 mg/mL, so that dilution errors during manufacturing don't push a finished product over the limit. A bottle labelled 20 mg/mL is therefore labelled at the legal maximum, and the liquid inside may have been made slightly below that figure.

What a Canadian nicotine e-liquid bottle must show

Under the Vaping Products Labelling and Packaging Regulations, nicotine vaping liquids must come in child-resistant containers. A nicotine e-liquid label must carry a health warning, a nicotine concentration statement, a warning about nicotine's toxicity if swallowed, and a hazard symbol. Every vaping liquid label must also include an ingredient list, whatever its nicotine content, so that list is where to check what a liquid contains.

After each refill, close the cap completely and store the bottle where children and pets can't reach it.

Fruit flavours: iced and without ice

The Allo Salt flavours fall into two groups: single fruits with an ice finish and fruit blends without ice.

Iced single fruits

Mango Ice, Grape Ice and Fuji Apple Ice each pair one fruit (mango, grape or Fuji apple) with an ice finish.

Without ice

Lemon Lime Cranberry combines lemon and lime citrus with cranberry, and Strawberry Banana is a blend of strawberry and banana.
