About
The LG HG2 INR18650 3000 mAh Battery ($13.99) is a single rechargeable replacement cell for devices that take removable 18650 batteries. It contains no e-liquid or nicotine, and it is not a vape device. Before you order, check your device's manual for the cell size it takes and how many cells it needs.
What the name LG HG2 INR18650 3000 mAh tells you
Each part of the product name tells you something different, and one part decides whether the cell will fit your device.
- LG is the cell maker.
- HG2 is the model name.
- 18650 is the size code for this standard cylindrical cell format.
- INR marks a round, rechargeable lithium-ion cell.
- 3000 mAh is the manufacturer's capacity rating. A milliamp-hour (mAh) is a unit of stored electric charge.
The size code matters most, because an 18650 cell only fits devices built for that size. The capacity rating tells you how much charge the cell is rated to hold. It does not tell you how long a charge will last, because run time depends on your device and its settings.
Checking that an 18650 cell suits your device
Your device's manual tells you which cell to buy, how many to order and what the cell has to supply. Go through these points in order:
- Battery type. A device with a built-in, non-removable battery does not use loose cells. The HG2 only fits devices with a removable battery door or sled.
- Cell size. The manual states the size the device takes. Cells of other sizes have different dimensions and can't be swapped for an 18650.
- Cell count. A dual battery mod needs two cells, so order the number your device calls for.
- Current requirement. The manual may list the current, in amps, that each cell must be able to deliver. Follow that figure, because the device maker sets the requirement for its own device.

Handling, charging and storing a loose lithium-ion cell
A loose lithium-ion cell needs more care than a battery sealed inside a device, because its metal ends are exposed. Keys, coins or other metal objects can bridge the two terminals and short the cell. Carry spare cells in a plastic battery case, never loose in a pocket or bag.
The outer wrap is the thin plastic sleeve that insulates the cell's body. Check the wrap before each use. A cell with a torn or nicked wrap, or a dented cell, should not go back into a device.
Charge cells only in a charger designed for lithium-ion cells, and do not leave charging cells unattended. Store cells at room temperature, away from direct heat and out of reach of children and pets.
