If your device runs on removable lithium-ion cells, a separate charger lets you charge them outside the device. Lithicore produces and sells batteries and chargers, and the Lithicore item we carry is the Pulse 2 Bay Charger/Power Bank, priced at $29.99 in our hardware range. It holds no e-liquid and no nicotine.
A two-bay charger from a battery maker, not a vape
Lithicore's own description of its range covers batteries and chargers, not vaping devices. The brand supplies power for devices that run on removable cells, so choosing a Lithicore product comes down to fit and handling. Flavour and nicotine strength don't come into it.
The Pulse 2 is the only Lithicore item in our Hardware category. Its name indicates two charging bays and a second role as a power bank. Its product page is where to confirm which cell sizes and types it accepts. If your device takes removable cells and you're comparing other accessories, our vape hardware range has the rest of what we stock.
Matching cell sizes before you charge
The name of a cylindrical lithium-ion cell is tied to its physical size. Lithicore lists its 18650 cell at 18.50 mm in diameter by 65.20 mm long, each within ±0.2 mm, so the "18" and "65" in the name line up with those measurements.
Lithicore makes 18650, 20700, 21700 and 26650 cells, as well as AA and AAA rechargeables. These are different formats, so a bay that fits one size can't be assumed to fit another. Match the cell size printed on your battery wrap against the sizes listed for the Pulse 2.
The ratings printed on a cell apply to that cell only. Lithicore rates its 18650 3000 mAh cell at a nominal 3.7 V, meaning its typical working voltage. Don't assume that figure applies to every cell you own.
Lithicore's handling warnings for lithium-ion cells
Lithicore publishes a lithium-ion battery warning with its 18650 cell listing. In it, Lithicore says:
- not to use batteries if the wrapper or insulator appears to be damaged
- not to use batteries with products that operate at a higher electrical current
- not to keep batteries in pockets, purses or any containers where they may contact metal or create short-circuit conditions
- that lithium batteries may explode or catch fire if mishandled
- not to disassemble, puncture, crush, cut, incinerate or short-circuit batteries, or expose them to fire, water, or extreme heat or cold
- to keep batteries out of reach of children and pets
