About
Patchy Drips Salt is a Mind Blown Vape Co salt nicotine e-liquid. We carry it as one 30 mL bottle in two strengths, 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL, and both cost $26.99 with federal excise tax included, so the only thing to decide is strength. It's a bottled liquid for a refillable device, not a disposable.
One 30 mL bottle, two strengths, one price
Bottle size and price are the same for both options, so choosing between 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL comes down to how much nicotine you want in each millilitre. The next section explains how to read those figures.
Because this is bottled e-liquid, you fill your own refillable device with it. Disposables and prefilled pods come already filled, but this bottle doesn't, so you need a device that accepts salt nicotine liquids. Check your device maker's guidance before filling. For other bottles in the same nicotine format, browse our salt nic e-liquids.
Reading 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL on the label
The mg/mL figure on the label tells you how many milligrams of nicotine are in each millilitre of liquid. Some labels give a percentage instead. Health Canada's published text for the federal regulations treats 20 mg/mL and 2% as the same strength, so 10 mg/mL works out to 1%. A 2% label means 20 mg/mL, not 2 mg/mL.
To find the total nicotine in a bottle, multiply the strength by the volume. A 30 mL bottle at 10 mg/mL holds 300 mg of nicotine in total, and a 30 mL bottle at 20 mg/mL holds 600 mg. The 20 mg/mL bottle holds twice the nicotine in the same volume of liquid.
If you already use a salt nicotine liquid, start with the strength printed on that bottle and match it to the 10 mg/mL or 20 mg/mL option here.
Why 20 mg/mL is the highest strength offered
Canada's Nicotine Concentration in Vaping Products Regulations (SOR/2021-123) limit the nicotine concentration of vaping products to 20 mg/mL. They also prohibit packaging and selling vaping products that display a nicotine concentration above that level. The limit applies whatever form the nicotine takes, so salt and non-salt liquids share the same 20 mg/mL ceiling.
That puts the 20 mg/mL option on this page at the federal limit, with the 10 mg/mL option at half of it. Provincial rules on vaping products also differ from one province to another.
