Samsung batteries at Puff'Dis are loose rechargeable cells for devices that take removable batteries. We carry two sizes: the 25R and 30Q in 18650, and the 30T and 40T in 21700, priced from $12.99 to $19.99. Start by checking which size your device's battery bay takes. Once you know the size, the choice comes down to the mAh and amp figures in each listing name.

Start with cell size: 18650 or 21700

The battery bay in your device decides which Samsung cell you need. 18650 and 21700 are different cell sizes, and a bay built for one is built for that size only. Check the bay markings or your device manual before you compare anything else.

Our Samsung range splits evenly by size. The 25R and 30Q are 18650 cells. The 30T and 40T are 21700 cells. Settling the size first removes half the range straight away.

Reading mAh and amp ratings in the listing names

Our Samsung listing names use two numbers, mAh and A, and each measures something different. mAh (milliamp-hours) is capacity, meaning how much charge the cell holds. At the same draw, a higher mAh figure generally means more use between charges. The A figure is a current rating in amps, meaning how much current the cell is rated to deliver.

Neither number is better on its own. Which one matters more depends on what your device draws, and its manual is the place to find the cell requirements. Compare only the figures each listing states, since the 25R and 40T listings give capacity only.

The 18650 pair: Samsung 25R and 30Q

The 25R is listed at 2500 mAh. The 30Q is listed at 3000 mAh and 20A, which makes it the higher-capacity 18650 we carry. Of the two, only the 30Q listing states a current rating. If your device needs a specific amp figure, the 30Q is the 18650 you can check against it directly.

The 21700 pair: Samsung 30T and 40T

The 30T is listed at 3000 mAh and 35A. That 35A is the highest current rating stated among our Samsung listings. The 40T (INR 21700) is listed at 4000 mAh, the highest capacity in our Samsung range.

For a 21700 device, you're choosing between the 30T's stated current rating and the 40T's extra capacity. Our vape hardware category lists these Samsung cells alongside the rest of our hardware.

Handling and charging loose lithium-ion cells

Loose lithium-ion cells need basic care between uses. General practice for this type of cell:

• Charge them in a charger made for lithium-ion cells of the right size.
• Inspect the outer wrap before each use. Replace any cell with a torn or damaged wrap or a dented end.
• Carry spare cells in a case, never loose in a pocket or bag with keys or coins.
• In devices that take two or more cells, use the same model, bought and charged together.
• Recycle used cells at a battery drop-off point instead of putting them in household garbage.
