Choosing between 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL

Every Solar Master Salt flavour comes in both 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL, so you can change strength without changing flavour.

Health Canada's Nicotine Concentration in Vaping Products Regulations set a maximum of 20 mg/mL for vaping products made or imported for sale in Canada (Health Canada vaping products regulations). The same regulations prohibit selling a vaping product whose package displays more than 20 mg/mL. That ceiling is why the line has no stronger option. The 10 mg/mL bottle has half that concentration.

If you're restocking, check the concentration printed on the bottle you already use and match it instead of guessing. Canadian labels must state the nicotine concentration in mg/mL, so a legal bottle should show that number on its label.

What a legal nicotine e-liquid bottle must show

According to Health Canada's vaping product safety guidance, a container of nicotine vaping liquid must have a child-resistant closure, a toxic hazard symbol and a "poison" toxicity warning.

Labels must be in English and French. Required label content includes:

• an ingredient list, including flavours
• a nicotine concentration statement in mg/mL
• toxicity information with a hazard symbol and a first aid treatment statement
• a health warning message on nicotine

Packaging also includes a vaping excise stamp over the seal. Health Canada advises against using vaping products of unknown content or origin, even from someone you know. It also doesn't recommend adding substances to vaping liquid that the manufacturer didn't intend.

Storing and handling nicotine e-liquid at home

Health Canada states that vaping liquid containing nicotine is poisonous and that young children are more susceptible to harm from nicotine. Store bottles out of sight and reach of children and pets, in a cool, dry place where they can't be confused for food, drinks or medicine.

A child-resistant cap isn't child-proof, so close the bottle securely after each use. Wash your hands immediately after handling vaping liquid, or wear gloves. Never mix household chemical products or additives into vaping liquid.
