About
Our Spectrum salt nic range is a single bottle: Spectrum E-Liquids Salty Walnut Tobacco, 30 mL of nicotine-salt e-liquid in 10 or 20 mg/mL, with both strengths at $26.99. Flavour and price are the same for both options, so you only need to choose a strength and check that your device suits salt e-liquid. Spectrum says it makes its salt line for pod systems and low-wattage devices.
One tobacco bottle, two strengths, one price
The flavour profile is tobacco, and the product name adds walnut to that description. Both strengths share the same flavour and price, so your real choice is the strength, covered below.
To compare this bottle with other tobacco e-liquids, browse our tobacco flavours. To see every nicotine-salt liquid we carry, go to the salt nic collection.
Reading 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL on a 30 mL salt bottle
The mg/mL figure on a Spectrum Salt label gives the milligrams of nicotine in each millilitre of liquid. Health Canada's regulatory analysis uses 20 mg/mL and 2% as the same concentration, and on the same scale 10 mg/mL is 1%. At 10 mg/mL, a full 30 mL bottle contains 300 mg of nicotine. At 20 mg/mL, the same bottle contains 600 mg.
Only the nicotine concentration changes between the two options, so pick the strength that matches the salt nic you already use. Watch for labels that show a percentage instead of mg/mL. A 2% bottle is 20 mg/mL, not a weaker liquid.
The 20 mg/mL option is the top strength for this line, not a middle setting. Canada's Nicotine Concentration in Vaping Products Regulations cap nicotine at 20 mg/mL in vaping products, and the cap applies to nicotine in salt form as well as non-salt form.
What Spectrum says about devices for its salt line
Spectrum E-Liquids describes its nicotine-salt line as made for pod systems and low-wattage devices, and says the line is not recommended for sub-ohm hardware.
Salty Walnut Tobacco comes as a bottled liquid, so you need your own refillable pod system or low-wattage device to use it. If you aren't sure whether your tank or coil counts as sub-ohm, check the device or coil maker's specifications before ordering.
Spectrum's salt line and its freebase line
Spectrum says its salt line uses the same flavours as its original freebase line, made with nicotine salt instead of freebase nicotine. According to the manufacturer, the freebase line runs from 0 mg to 18 mg in 60 mL and 120 mL bottles.
The two lines differ in which hardware they suit, in strength range and in bottle size. If your setup isn't a pod system or low-wattage device, see the other Spectrum products we carry on our Spectrum brand page.
