Drip'n by Envi EVO 28K

Every Drip'n EVO 28K listing at Puff'Dis is the same Envi rechargeable disposable. Each one costs $33.25 with federal excise tax included, and each is 20 mg/mL nicotine. Since the device and strength never change, you have two decisions: which of the 10+ flavours to buy, and which of the three power modes to use. The mode matters more than it seems, because Envi's 28,000-puff rating applies to Eco Mode only.

What Envi's 28,000-puff rating is tied to

Envi's spec sheet gives one puff figure for the Drip'n EVO 28K, up to 28,000 puffs, and it applies to Eco Mode. It is the manufacturer's maximum for one setting, and your own count can come in lower.

Every mode changes the power level, and Boost also uses a different coil. These are Envi's figures:

Wattage is the amount of power the battery sends to the coil, and ohms measure the coil's resistance. Normal keeps the Eco coil but raises the power from 9W to 12W. Boost uses a lower-resistance dual coil at more than twice Eco's wattage. More watts means the battery spends more energy on each puff. Envi gives no puff figure for Normal or Boost, so the 28,000 rating doesn't tell you how far the device goes in those modes. When you pick a mode, you are choosing between more power per puff and getting closer to the rated count.

Envi also lists adjustable airflow alongside the three modes. Whatever setting you use, how long each draw lasts and how often you vape affect how many puffs you get from one device.

Charging the EVO 28K and reading its screen

The EVO 28K charges through a USB-C (Type-C) port. Envi doesn't include a cable in the box, so have one ready before the first charge.

The LED display shows three readings: how much e-liquid is left, the battery level and the active mode. The battery and e-liquid gauges tell you different things. If the battery is low but e-liquid still shows, the device needs a charge. If the e-liquid reading is empty, the device is finished, and charging it won't help.

Health Canada's vaping product safety guidance gives these tips for the lithium-ion batteries in vaping devices:

• Follow the manufacturer's storage and charging instructions.
• Don't charge past the recommended time.
• Don't modify the device.
• Don't use or charge it near oxygen sources, such as pressurized containers used for oxygen therapy.

One strength: 20 mg/mL, and what a legal package shows

Every EVO 28K listing we carry is 20 mg/mL, the same strength Envi lists. Under the federal Nicotine Concentration in Vaping Products Regulations, 20 mg/mL is the highest nicotine concentration allowed for vaping products manufactured or imported for sale in Canada. This line is at that limit, so no stronger version appears in the grid.

According to Health Canada, the package of a legal vaping product carries:

• Labelling in both English and French, including an ingredient list that names the flavours.
• The nicotine concentration, stated in mg/mL.
• Toxicity information with a hazard symbol and a first-aid statement.
• A health warning about nicotine.
• Child-proof packaging, which is required at 0.1 mg/mL nicotine or more.
• A vaping excise stamp over the seal.

Health Canada advises storing vaping liquid out of sight and reach of children and pets. A disposable contains that liquid, so store the device and its packaging the same way.

Single fruits and three-fruit blends in the EVO 28K range

Fruit is the largest flavour profile in the EVO 28K line. These fruit listings fall into two groups. Three name a single fruit (Peach Zing, Green Apple and Grape Ice), and four name three fruits (Strawberry Banana Mango Ice, Mango Peach Watermelon, Strawberry Kiwi Banana Ice and Lychee Mango Melon Ice).

Some fruits appear in more than one listing, which helps if you already know which fruit you like. Mango is in three of the four blends: Strawberry Banana Mango Ice, Mango Peach Watermelon and Lychee Mango Melon Ice. Strawberry and banana appear together twice. Peach comes alone as Peach Zing and again in Mango Peach Watermelon.

Four of these listings have an ice finish: Grape Ice, Strawberry Banana Mango Ice, Strawberry Kiwi Banana Ice and Lychee Mango Melon Ice. Green Apple, Peach Zing and Mango Peach Watermelon have no ice.
