How 10 mg/mL compares with Canada's 20 mg/mL limit

Canada's Nicotine Concentration in Vaping Products Regulations cap nicotine at 20 mg/mL for vaping products made or imported for sale in Canada (SOR/2021-123, Canada Gazette). At 10 mg/mL, the MARZ BAR 1200 is at half that federal limit.

Nicotine labels show strength in one of two ways. The first is milligrams per millilitre (mg/mL), the weight of nicotine in each millilitre of liquid. The second is a percentage. Health Canada's published analysis of the regulations treats 20 mg/mL and 2% as the same strength, so by that conversion 10 mg/mL equals 1%. Check the unit when you compare labels across brands: a label showing 2% is the same strength as 20 mg/mL, which is twice the concentration of this line.
